Help Center

Welcome to Retrouse — a calm, private space to capture your days and reflect on them. This guide covers the basics; see the FAQ for quick answers.

The four tabs

Retrouse is organised around four tabs:

  • Rouse — what's ahead: plans, intentions, and things to do or prepare for.
  • Retro — what happened: your journal entries, moods, and reflections.
  • Stamp — your labels: stamps (and collections) you attach to entries to find and group them later.
  • Scope — the big picture: insights, statistics, goals, and habits over time.

Tap Add in the centre of the tab bar (or the + button) to capture something quickly.

Getting started

  1. Create an account with your email (we send a one‑time code) or a social sign‑in (Google, Microsoft, Apple). Your account is also your sync account.
  2. Write your first entry from the Add button. Add a mood, stamps, a location, or an attachment if you like.
  3. Reflect — open an entry and use the reflection prompts, or ask the assistant to summarise a timeframe.

Sync across devices

Sync is optional and off until you enable it. When on, your entries and attachments stay in step across your devices over an encrypted connection. Your on‑device database is always encrypted at rest.

The assistant (AI)

The assistant can suggest prompts, summarise a period, and help you go deeper. Depending on your settings it runs on‑device or via our service. It is a companion for reflection — not professional advice.

Integrations

In Account → Integrations you can connect:

  • Google / Microsoft Calendar — bring events in alongside your plans.
  • Microsoft To‑Do — import tasks.
  • OneNote — import notes as entries.
  • Google Drive — encrypted backup and restore of your whole journal.

Connect and disconnect any integration at any time.

Privacy & security

  • Your journal is stored encrypted on your device.
  • You can protect the app with a passcode and biometrics (Account → Privacy).
  • You can export your data or delete your account whenever you want.

Subscriptions

Retrouse has a free tier and paid plans that unlock more assistant usage, larger attachment storage, and extra features. Manage your plan in Account → Subscription.
